You know, every spinner I've ever met has been
a pusher
eager to teach others how to do it. If there's a fiber arts guild or fiber shop in the area, I bet you could get the basics pretty quickly.
If that's not an option,
here's how to make a good, inexpensive spindle
for under $5 and
a good, basic instruction video that answers most beginner's questions
.
