Not really colorbars (for starters, the first color left-to-right should have been red, but I find myself liking DW!pink more). These are hosted in photobucket, so I suggest saving them in your own photo hosting account and changing the link.
I wondered exactly the same thing (as a fact, I have two other colorbars with 'dreemsheep are love' to prove it :P). But I decided to use this, because I was thinking of dreamsheep the community, not THE dreamsheep as a herd (flock? group?).
Maybe I should add the little-world-Dreamwidth-communities icon to make it clear ... and/or post the 'are' version too.
Oh, yes, if you mean the community that's different. It's not readily apparent that's what you mean because there is a row of 6 dreamsheep above your sentence, so. I think adding the world icons would make it much clearer.
I took it to be an "artistic" choice rather than a "grammar police" choice, myself: "Dreamsheep" as an abstract concept encompassing the concrete expression of individual Sheepies. I have no problem with "Dreamsheep is love," but would prefer the "Dreamsheep are love" as an alternative (for those who care) rather than cluttering the line with extra explanatory verbiage.
(Normally I'm a fan of extra explanatory verbiage, as you can tell, but not when it comes to minimalistic artistic expression. ;-))
