Open beta contest!
Greetings, fellow sheep-modders! :D
In the two weeks sincedreamsheep got started, there have been close to 100 sheep posted. Now that Dreamwidth is in open beta, I'm hoping that more people will be willing to join the flock!
And thus: a contest! How many Dreamsheep do you think will be posted indreamsheep during the month of May*? The person whose guess comes closest to the actual sheep count will get 6 months of premium paid time to help them manage their flock. ^_^
And now the rules!
* "End of May" is "end of May in my time zone", which is Pacific Daylight. Last call for sheep is June 1, 12:00AM PDT/3:00AM EDT/7:00AM GMT; any sheep posted after that will be loved and cherished, but not counted for the contest.
** "May 5th" meaning "at the end of May 5th in my time zone", so last call for guesses is May 6, 12:00AM PDT/3:00AM EDT/7:00AM GMT.
I think that covers everything, but if I have left anything out, please feel free to ask me!

- Comment to this entry only to make your guess; other comments elsewhere do not count!
- One guess per person; one person per guess. If someone guesses 172 sheep before you do, you'll have to pick another number! I'll be using view=flat to double-check people's timing, and I suggest you do the same. :)
- Guessing ends May 5th**. Any comment edited after May 5th will be disqualified; any comments made after May 5th will not be included! I'll put up a "comments closed" comment and will screen all comments made after the deadline.
- You must be a member or subscriber of dreamsheep to win; if you're not a member or subscriber on June 1st, I'll look for the closest person who is a member or subscriber.
- I will be counting unique, newly-posted sheep in actual entries only (not comments, not userpics in the comments, etc.). However, I will totally count banners, buttons, mood themes, and any other dreamsheep-related graphics you want to create and post here. New renditions of the base will also count! :)
- Ballot-box stuffing is highly encouraged. ^_^ In other words, if you see the sheep counts are way, way off from your guess, and you want to make 30 sheep to give yourself a better shot, GO FOR IT. But remember, each sheep must be
eweunique! - Shareable and private sheep will both count for this contest, but as always, please do not take other people's private sheep! We frown on sheep rustling!
- ETA: "Closest" means "closest, plus or minus"; if there are 220 dreamsheep posted, and the closest answers are 210 and 222, 222 wins.
- Winner may take their premium paid time, have it applied to another account of their choice, or have me send it to the email of their choice.
